Social Media Strategist

Luna Norte is hiring for a Social Media Strategist to manage our brand across multiple social media platforms, connect with customers, bloggers and influencers as well as grow our brand awareness. We are developing a unique brand voice and your creativity, networking and quirkiness is going to take us from a spicy level 8 to an off the charts level 12!

Position Purpose:
Responsible for driving marketing and the development of content across multiple digital channels. The person in this role will collaborate with the team to develop compelling content that gives our brand personality, creates a personal connection with our customers and aligns with the company’s vibe. This position is someone who will represent the brand at trade shows, meetings, and social happenings to develop relationships with other industry professionals.

Strategy Development:

• Can create an overall digital strategy using SEO, social media and GMB. An understanding of PPC is a plus
• Organizes and maintains a schedule for social media posts. Develops ideas for compelling content that adhere to branding and style guidelines
• Engages with industry thought-leaders to build long-standing relationships and identify opportunities with content contribution, share-ability and link-building
• Works with agencies to create digital brand communications and content planning including blogs, social media, sponsored content, web content and digital ad messaging
• Develops and produces high-quality, informative and fun content including videos, presentations and other related materials for blogs, social media channels, industry publications and other third-party channels
• Establishes content strategies and campaigns based on keyword research
• Analyzes marketing and sales data to develop insights and make recommendations on areas for optimization to meet revenue targets.
• Collaborates with team members from departments such as design, marketing, production, packaging, e-commerce, sales, and customer service to ensure brand consistency.
• Stays up to date on current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications
• Repurposes our best owned and user-generated content in creative ways

Skills and Tasks:

• Manages and develops content for social media including Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter (content creation, schedule, engagement, ad development, etc.) Optimize existing social media profiles as needed
• Works with the graphic design team to develop relevant campaigns and promotions
• Performs market research and implementation of new ideas and inspiration
• Experience in jewelry, fashion or art is a plus
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills
• Short form writing experience: Promotional emails, blog posts, social

Requirements:

• A creative mind is a must!
• Either a love for accessorizing or genuine stones, both would be a bonus!
• Travel and offsite work are a must! Occasional overtime may also be required when traveling
• Active on social media; aware of latest trends
• An appreciation for the online customer gifting experience
• Highly motivated to maintain a proactive approach to meeting goals
• Confident demeanor, decision-making skills, attention to detail and presentation skills
• Strong understanding of Adobe Suite, especially Photoshop
• Creative written and verbal communication skills; strong copywriting and content creation skills, listening, problem solving, interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Excellent computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficient with Google Analytics a plus
• Knowledge of Industry Best Practices and Trends
• Ability to work in deadline-oriented environment and ensure all tactical elements related to campaigns are executed properly

Experience:

1+ years of Content Marketing experience in a B2C industry with experience developing new strategies and managing content for digital marketing and social media channels
CMS experience a plus

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business Administration, or related field is a plus, but NOT required
1-month trial/probation period

Accountant / Full Charge Book Keeper

Luna Norte is a gemstone jewelry company servicing boutiques and department stores. Our small team is made up of highly motivated and passionate individuals that are committed to personal and professional growth. We are seeking a full-time full-service Accountant to join our team in San Diego. This position will play a key role in supporting the company’s day-to-day operations and finances. Job Description:
The accountant role is responsible for and oversees all accounting operations. This person will join a team of professionals working to ensure accounts are accurate and that department processes follow appropriate controls and standards. In addition, the ideal candidate will be expected to provide timely reports that focus on key financial metrics to aid in strategic business decisions. This position is mostly independent and directly reports to the CFO.

Responsibilities:

• Log all invoices, receipts, employee expense reports and bills in QuickBooks, resolve discrepancies as needed
• Inventory Reconciliation: Develop, maintain, and update accounting policies, controls and procedures related to inventory cycle
• Manage the accounts Payable and Receivable functions-process customer payments, maintain AR Aging and collections
• Facilitate weekly Vendor Payment Runs
• Preparation of financial statements and budget forecasting reports to present to management
• Prepare and maintain accounting records: including journal entries, bank account and balance sheet reconciliations, and the analysis of cash flow and expense activity.
• Monitor credit card charges, payment discrepancies, refunds, returns and miscellaneous charges
• Preparation of year-end 1099s and quarterly commissions
• Prepare tax payments for CFO and CPA and compile information for corporate tax filing
• Payroll processing assistance
• Maintain orderly financial filing system and documentation in accordance with company standards
• Ensure resale customers possess valid resale certificates
• Pays quarterly sales tax owed to the California State Board of Equalization
• Updates sales tax rates across company
• Ensure all company corporate business licenses and permits are valid and up to date
• Ensure company remains in compliance with all state and federal regulations
• Assist with performing internal audits
• Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies and perform variance analysis
• Maintain office efficiency by maintaining appearance of filing, organizing procedures, and handling correspondence.
• Proactively participate in the ongoing implementation of inventory systems and related integration including timely resolutions of issues post system implementation.
• Organize and maintain office calendars, appointments, and important due dates

Experience Requirements/Qualifications:

BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 4 years preferred of combined relevant accounting/administrative experience, but we will consider less experience for the right candidate.
• 2+ years’ experience in Microsoft Office Suite
• 2+ years’ experience QuickBooks
• Experience in inventory operations and human resources a plus
• Strong excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc)

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to sit, stand or move around the office for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50lbs

Luna Norte Jewelry is looking to add to our in house production team.

Experience in jewelry making, specifically wire wrapping required. Please see our website for examples.

Requirements for this position include:

• Attention to detail – especially when quality controlling
• Organized, reliable, on time and have a strong work ethic
• Works well independently as well as in a production line
• Can perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality of product and pay close attention to fine details
• Remain stationary for long periods of time
