Considered an enormously powerful stone by many cultures throughout the ages, Emerald carries a rich cultural history dating back over six thousand years. This stone was traded back in markets of ancient Babylon, was worshipped by the Incas and was considered a symbol of eternal life in ancient Egypt.

A stone of the heart, Emerald is known as a stone of universal love and compassion. It is believed to have a calming effect on emotions, making it beneficial cooperating and understanding others. Emerald is also said to strengthen mental acuity; promoting wisdom, clarity and introspection. Emerald is associated with and is thought to re-balance the heart chakra, helping one better understand their own needs and emotions as well as those of others.
